If you're not interested in making your own website, it's a fun project to have classes make their own. Two of my classes in the 1997/98 school year made websites

Students wrote the texts and took most of the pictures. Some of the students in Class AF1A helped make the HTML documents, the rest I did myself. I used nothing but MS Word97 plus a little bit of editing in raw HTML code. You need a flatbed scanner for the pictures.
